Objectives

  • Acquire the clinical skills necessary to provide comprehensive care and stabilization for both normal and high-risk pregnant women and neonates across the antenatal, natal, and postnatal stages.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, managerial skills, and leadership within clinical and community health settings.
  • Conduct need-based studies in maternal and gynecological nursing to improve the quality of patient care.
  • Operate within the framework of professional codes of conduct, legal boundaries, and established standards of practice.
  • ‍Participate effectively in family welfare programs and the broader healthcare delivery system.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must be Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) or equivalent, registered with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • Applicants should have completed B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (H) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  • A minimum of one year of work experience is required after temporary or permanent registration.
  • Candidates should be medically fit.
  • A 5% relaxation in marks may be provided for SC/ST candidates.
  • Admission will be based on merit in the entrance examination conducted by the University or competent authority.

The Department of CSE is headed by Dr. M. Suresh Kumar. The department not only teaches the curriculum but also ensures that the gap between what is taught in college and what is practised in industry is bridged through Faculty Development Programmes, certification courses and industry collaborations.
